CHS Students Attend KSU’s All-State Choir Prep Day

By Emma Frieze On September 16th, 2017, 12 members of CHS choirs attended All-State Choir Prep Day at Kansas State University with teacher Mrs. McGuffin. The clinic ran from 9 am to 5 pm and was lead by the university’s two co-directors of Choral Studies, Dr. Oppenheim and Dr. Yu-Oppenheim. By Mara Carrigan Chapman high school’s Lady Irish Varsity tennis has had a successful season so far! They kicked off their season with a home meet that Abilene, Wamego, and Concordia attended. Abilene took first, Chapman took second, Wamego took third, and Concordia took fourth. Individually our girls worked hard and had a good start to the season. Number one doubles, Riley Davis and Bee Loy, got first place. Number two doubles, Mara Carrigan and Natasha Maki, got second place.

Continuing to play hard until the end of the game, they fell short 40-55. Next up was the boys.
